VESA Display Mount, 3U, 7.5-inch

A 3U VESA mount for our 7.5-inch rack, for a 75 or 100 mm display pattern.

ONE PIECE, where the 10-inch mount is two. A 254 x 133 mm face needs 274 mm of a 224 mm bed and has to be halved down the middle; 190.5 x 133 needs 205 and does not. So this is a single plate with no seam behind the screen, no lap, and two fewer bolts — on the one part in the line that actually carries a moment.

3U because VESA says so. MIS-D’s larger pattern is 100 mm square and a rack unit is 44.45, so 100 mm of hole spacing needs three of them. There is no 2U version of this to want.

6.0 mm thick, its own section. A screen hangs off this, which makes it the only part in the line carrying a real bending load, and it is thirty layers for that reason rather than because a slider was left high.

No tilt, deliberately. A tilting mount needs a hinge and a friction detent, both of which are a printed sliding fit — the single most complained-about thing in the printed-rack world. A flat plate that holds a screen where you put it is the honest version of this part.

In the box: the plate. The four screws into the display are yours: length depends entirely on how deep that monitor’s own threads are recessed, and guessing it wrong is how a screw goes through a panel.
