PSU Shelf, 1U, 7.5-inch

A 1U mounting shelf for our 7.5-inch rack, strapped down for a small enclosed DC or AC-DC power supply.

Strapped, and the straps are the point. A sealed brick has no mounting holes worth using, so two printed straps go over it and bolt into inserts in the floor either side. The strap span is set by the supply you tell us about, and the inserts are placed to it — so the shelf is made for your brick rather than for a generic one.

156.5 mm of floor against the 10-inch shelf’s 220. That takes the common 12 V bricks up to about 125 mm across; anything wider wants the wide rack. The depth is unchanged at up to 100 mm, because depth is not what the narrower rack gave up.

Choose: how deep the shelf runs, how open the floor is vented, and how wide the front aperture opens.

In the box: the bezel, the vented floor and the M4 inserts and screws. The supply and the strap kit are yours: wattage, output voltage and mains certification are the whole decision, and not ours to make.
