Switch Shelf, 1U, 7.5-inch

A 1U shelf for our 7.5-inch rack that straps a desktop network switch down and presents its ports through an opening cut to the width you give it.

Switches up to 125 mm wide. A strap costs 29.2 mm of floor beside the body it bridges, and this floor is 156.5 mm — so 125 is the widest body it will hold, against 190 on the 10-inch shelf. That takes the common five-port and most eight-port desktop switches; the widest eight-ports, around 158 mm, need the wide rack. The configurator will not let you set a body this shelf cannot strap.

Strapped, not screwed. A desktop switch has no mounting holes and is not ours to drill. Two printed straps go over the body and bolt down either side of it into inserts in the floor, so the switch comes out as easily as it went in.

Choose: the switch’s width and depth, how deep the shelf runs, and how open the floor is vented.

In the box: the bezel, the vented floor, two straps, and the M4 inserts and screws for both joints. The switch is yours — port count, speed and management are the whole decision.
